It's in charge of designing, constructing, and optimizing the robot's physical components, including mechanical parts, sensors, and electrical systems. The team collaborates closely with other departments, like software development and product management, to ensure that the hardware aligns seamlessly with software and system requirements. This involves tasks like mechanical design and prototyping of components, using CAD tools and 3D printing technologies.

Your mission & challenges
- Work closely with safety experts, hardware and software developers, as well as other architects and system engineers to ensure our systems follow a consistent overall architecture.
- Analyze relevant standards, regulations, and guidelines and translate them into system specifications and requirements.
- Define test concepts and test specifications for our products based on functional and safety requirements.
- Support the entire product development process from the very first idea up to the first delivery.
- Maintain close contact and collaboration with suppliers.
What we can look forward to
- You are an expert in Systems Engineering / Model-Based Systems Engineering (UML, SYSML, UAF …).
- You have knowledge in requirements engineering and experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or Polarion.
- You bring experience in test engineering or in verification/validation of technical systems in areas such as robotics, automotive, avionics, or similar industries.
- You are familiar with standards in the field of functional safety, e.g., ISO 26262, ISO 13849-1, IEC 62061.
- A background in hardware or software development, particularly in real-time or safety-critical systems, is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of technical project management is advantageous.
- You have excellent organizational skills.
- You are highly team-oriented and motivated to work effectively in agile teams.
