This is where Artificial Intelligence comes to life

The Hardware Department is at the heart of developing our high-performance and innovative robots. It's in charge of designing, constructing, and optimizing the robot's physical components, including mechanical parts, sensors, and electrical systems. The team collaborates closely with other departments, like software development and product management, to ensure that the hardware aligns seamlessly with software and system requirements. This involves tasks like mechanical design and prototyping of components, using CAD tools and 3D printing technologies.

Your mission & challenges

Together, we are taking the step into a new era of cognitive robots:

Occupying technology leadership positions in cognitive robotics.

  • Leading robot mechanics development: Defining technology roadmaps for robotic systems and components. Implementing new architectures, developing systems and components—from conception to series production.
  • Leading and further developing an interdisciplinary development team for all mechatronic robotic components and systems: motors, gearboxes, drive modules, arms, sensors, high-performance compute controllers, stationary and mobile complete systems. Close collaboration with production and quality assurance.
  • Industrialization & Scaling: Transferring prototypes into series production. Design for Manufacturing, performance/cost optimization, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Standards & Certification: Ensuring compliance with relevant standards (e.g., IEC 60204, ISO 13849, ISO 10218) and regulatory requirements for robotic products.
  • Competence in complex development environments: Making qualified technical decisions. Identifying pragmatic solutions while considering timelines and available resources.
  • Supplier and partner management: Selecting and managing suppliers and manufacturing partners.

What we can look forward to
  • Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in the development and industrialization of robotics or complex mechatronic systems.
  • Proven multi-year experience in transitioning hardware products to series production, including manufacturing technologies and DFM/DFA principles.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in leading interdisciplinary teams and managing external partners.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and certification processes for robotics and industrial electronics.
