Your mission & challenges
In our humanoid robotics department, we are seeking several outstanding humanoid robot developers to join our team. Your responsibilities will cover a wide range of topics, varying according to the needs of 4NE-1. This includes:
- Development, design, and optimization of mechanical systems for humanoid robots
- Design of joints, structures, gearboxes, and actuators, taking into account weight, load capacity, and dynamics
- CAD design and creation of technical drawings and parts lists
- Performing strength, motion, and tolerance analyses
- Working closely with the electronics, control engineering, and software departments
- Building, integrating, and testing prototypes
- Assisting in the selection of suitable materials and manufacturing processes
- Documenting development results
What we can look forward to
Must-have:
- Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, or comparable field
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical design and machine elements
- Experience with CAD software (CREO, SolidWorks, Siemens NX)
- Knowledge of kinematics and dynamics of robot systems
- Knowledge of simulation (e.g., FEM, multibody)
- Understanding of overall mechatronic systems
- Ability to work in a team and a structured, independent way of working
- Good knowledge of German or English
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in humanoid robotics, exoskeletons, or biomechanical systems
- Knowledge of lightweight construction, actuator technology, or gear technology
- Experience from research projects, competitions, or open-source robotics
