Logistics Planner (Human)
Neura Robotics GmbH • Metzingen
Where ideas become tangible and technology comes to life
Metzingen
In our logistics department, it’s not just about moving materials from A to B. We are building a smart factory in a fast-growing robotics environment – transitioning from a start-up to a scale-up.
To make this work, we need you as a Logistics Planner (Human) who has full control over material flows while also structuring, questioning, and continuously improving our processes.
You are the central interface between:
- Sales
- Production Planning / Manufacturing
- Procurement & Suppliers
- Warehouse / Raw Material Logistics
Your Main Responsibilities:
- You take responsibility for material and raw material planning for defined product areas and ensure timely supply to production.
- You plan and manage inventory levels and material requirements based on forecasts, customer orders, and production plans.
- You work closely with production planning to align material availability with production capacity.
- You act as the main point of contact for Sales regarding delivery dates, availability, and feasibility.
- In coordination with Procurement, you define order quantities, call-offs, and priorities – especially for critical materials.
- You identify bottlenecks and material shortages early, initiate countermeasures, and coordinate rescheduling, prioritization, and special actions.
- You maintain and optimize planning and scheduling parameters (e.g., lot sizes, minimum stock levels, safety stock) in the ERP/planning system.
- Together with the team, you establish clear processes, interfaces, and responsibilities in logistics and material planning – and document them in a practical way.
- You actively contribute to building our smart factory: digitalization, transparency in material flows, standards, and KPIs.
- You support operational execution, e.g., creating/updating planned orders, purchase requisitions, and clarifying deviations with warehouse, procurement, and production.
- A degree in logistics, business administration, industrial engineering, or a comparable field
- Professional experience in material planning, scheduling, or production logistics – ideally in an industrial environment
- Familiarity with working alongside Sales, Production, Procurement, and Warehouse teams, and understanding their needs and language
- Confident use of an ERP system (e.g., for scheduling, material master data, inventory) and an affinity for numbers and data
- A highly structured and independent way of working – you value order in processes, lists, parameters, and workflows
- A strong interest in analyzing, standardizing, and improving processes rather than just “firefighting”
- A hands-on mentality: you can think conceptually but are also willing to get involved operationally when needed
- Strong communication skills and assertiveness when working across interfaces – you are not afraid to address issues proactively
- Good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
